Okay so, we decided that we're going to present our project to Mrs. Reed's class.
Today (3/9/11) we translated a vocabulary list for the things you need to make ice cream.
We are going to teach her class the vocabulary and then teach them step-by-stem how to make the ice cream that we made in class.
Vocab Words:
La Cuchara- Spoon
El Azucar-Sugar
La Nieve/ el Hielo- Snow/ Ice
La Cucharita- Teaspoon
La Cucharada- Tablespoon
Bolsa de Galon- Gallon Bag
Bolsa de Cuartos- Quart Bag
Sal de Gema- Rock Salt
Una Taza de Medir- Measuring Cup
La Leche- Milk
La Vainilla- Vanilla
Helado- Ice Cream
We are going to bring in all these materials.
Steps:
1) Use hola and Me llamo to introduce ourselves, and use como te llamo to ask the kids names.
2) Introduce all the vocab words
3) Put milk, sugar, and vanilla in the quart bag.
4) Put the rock salt and snow in the gallon bag.
5) Put the quart bag in the gallon bag.
6) Have the kids pass the the bag around to mix the ice cream.
7) Serve ice cream to the kids.
